Ghouls vs Humans: Classic Reborn

The Ghouls never die!

Ghouls vs Humans was the first asymmetrical team based classes mod for Doom. It was originally created back in 2009 based off of the Ghoul's Forest series. Two teams of different classes fight it out, traditionally in Zandronum's Team Last Man Standing mode. The Humans are specialize in ranged attacks to whittle down their foes, while the Ghouls use their maneuverability and deadly close range attacks to quickly dispatch their enemies.

Ghouls vs Humans: Classic Reborn aims to update the decade old mod for a modern audience. It has many new modern features to keep it in line with other Zandronum mods, while still having the classic feel of the mod. Some of these features include:

• Updated balance. No randomized damage!
• Improved graphics and effects, including a brand new HUD that displays crucial information.
• Updated sound effects and Ghoul voices (option to use the oldschool ones).
• Sudden Death timer, matches that take too long spawn a battle royale death circle!
• Modernized map voting system. Vote for the next map while you wait to spawn.
• Pinging system. Communicate with your team mates with easy to use pings.
• Damage numbers. See how much damage you're inflicting.
• Trait System. Upgrade your class each round!

One of the main new features is the Trait System, which lets players customize their playstyle each match. At the start of each round, you are offered two random traits pulled from the pool. Traits range from new abilities, passives and more. You keep your chosen trait for the whole TLMS match, the other trait is discarded. Switching class mid-match will wipe your traits, incentivizing you to "main" a class for the match!
